DMX led
driver
The different technical terms can quickly get confusing
in the world of led lighting so I will try to make this as simple as I
possibly can. A led controller is a generic term for the control
of all led lighting systems that enables them to be dimmed and perform
other functions. When using a led controller to control a series
of leds PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) is the standard way of operating
them.
A led driver is a hardware device that powers and controls a string of
Power leds. A led driver can control the function and brightness
of a series of connected Power leds which are constant current output.
Most power leds are voltage driven and 99% of power leds are controlled
and powered from a constant current source.
A DMX led driver is used to control more complex series of leds than is
possible with a led controller or standard led driver. The most
popular driver style is the PX24500 which can be put to a range of uses
in the home and in other locations.
The DMX Driver PX24500 allows you to connect RGB led lighting, led light
systems and led lighting strips to a DMX512 or DMX1990 light controller
that will allow you to the colour and dimming of your led lights. This
makes them ideal for general illumination and industrial lighting.
The DMX driver PX24500 is for use with 12 -24 V DC only and RGB leds and
led power are connected using screw down led connectors. This product
comes with a full one years warranty.
